Daisy DeCoster Price - Salon Supervisor
Passionate and experienced. Daisy has been in the industry for almost 10 years. She has been educated by Chromosilk, Redken, Goldwell, Swartzkopf, Eufora, Paul Mitchel, Aquage, American Crew, Pureology, KMS, Kenra and Matrix. As a Eufora Elite Team Member, she has also performed in-salon education for Eufora and has recently been an instructor at the local Paul Mitchelle School. She has been to the Redken Exchange in New York. Daisy loves all aspects of hair styling and design and gains her inspiration from her open communication with her clients. Her artistic talents allows her to create depth and dimension with color.

Kristen Fairman
Spirited and Creative. Kristen uses her artistry to create phenomenal looks for all of her clients. Her knowledge of state of the art design and techniques allows her to provide her guests with modern looks full of dimension and light. Kristen has been playing with hair styles and color since she was a kid. Her clients are so dedicated to her that they quickly found her at the Golden Orchid.

Elizabeth Beaton
Intuitive and thoughtful. Elizabeth asks a lot of questions to help her understand what her clients are looking for and what’s important to them so that she can create their own personalized style. Her calm nature helps to create a relaxing experience while getting your hair done. Elizabeth has been in the industry since 1996 and has an extensive knowledge of color. Educated in Chromosilk, Wella, Matrix & Redken.

Stephanie Swartz
Educated in Provana, Chromosilk, Stephanie Swartz is an Educator for the Fila Academy/A Paul Mitchell school in Glen Burnie, MD. She has also been a stylist/colorist at Bang Salon in DC and Colorworks in Northern VA. While continuing her career as an Educator she has also joined the Golden Orchid as a Senior Stylist/Colorist. 

Massage Therapists

Pat Schultz
Perfected all-over relaxation. Pat's massage techniques focus on the overall body and provides a calming touch to sooth and work out the kinks. Pat was one of the original Golden Orchid massage therapists when we opened in 2002. A graduate from the Baltimore School of Massage, she has continued her education to focus on pre-natal, Reiki and other healing modalities. Pat has been trained as a Reiki practitioner.

Jocelyn Harris
Strong yet soothing. Jocelyn provides a deep, penetrating massage to open the muscles and release the tightness. Educated at the Baltimore School of Massage, she is also specifically certified in Pregnancy Massage. She has also continued her education in hot stone massage, and common injuries. She is always searching for ways to improve the quality of health for her clients.

Margaret Simoneau
Strong and Uplifting. She too comes from another local spa. Her positive energy and love of what she does is directly reflected in her service. In addition to the Golden Orchid Massage and Body treatments, she brings to us Lypossage and Reflexology. Margaret continues to educate herself and master her craft.

Marian Currens Therapeutic and Relaxing. Marian continually impresses clients. She is committed to being in tune with clients' needs and wishes. She is consistent and thorough and having attended the Synergy Healing Arts Center & Massage School, she provides an integrated massage utilizing a blend of modalities and techniques. Marian completed a series of 3 Reiki attunements and is a Reiki Master. In addition, she has continued her education with a focus on the evaluation and treatment of shoulder injuries.

Estheticians

Christine Cardelli
The "Scientist", Christine is knowledgeable in the products ingredients and how they help the skin. Her quiet nature calms the mind and soothes the senses. Professionally trained at VonLee in Esthetics, her many years of experience have gained her recognition and praise from her skin care clients. She has continued her education at Bioelements Conservatory of Esthetics and the Dermagroup. She is specifically trained in successful acne treatments, understanding, Rosacea and clinical skin care treatments.

Megan Sanbower
Gentle, quiet, and nurturing. As a Licensed Esthetician, she is certified to perform all skin care services including, facials, body treatments, and waxing. She has additional certification in Aromatherapy to enhance services by calming the senses and Lymphatic Drainage which helps detoxify, clear sinuses, improve circulation and aids in the healing process of post-op. Clients have described her facials as a finger ballet and her nature as calming. Her extensive education and product knowledge allows her to resolve skin issues and further her clients experience long after they go home.

Meghan Butler Polite, professional and assertive. Meghan shows constant ease in her facial treatments. She enjoys helping clients relax while making them feel more confident about their skin. From subtle coverage to even out skin tones to theatrical makeup application to transform an entire look, Meghan very much enjoys her creations with makeup artistry.

Theresa Thompson
Mature, experienced, caretaker. Theresa’s compassion and sensitivity to the clients needs makes her a wonderful Esthetician. She has been practicing skin care for 20 years and combines her common sense approach with her esthetics knowledge to provide her clients with insightful home remedies that extend the spa experience when they go home. She continually shares client testimonials of change in their skin.

Nail Technicians

Dolores Bulalaque
Soft and friendly.  She has been a Nail Tech in Maryland for over a year and has completed her training on the Golden Orchid style and method of service.  Her soft personality and pleasant spirit is calming for her guests.

Junko Jackson
Quiet and strong. Junko was educated at the Frederick School of Cosmetology and has been trained on the Golden Orchid methods of service. Her massage technique incorporate native Japanese methods.

Multiple Disciplines

Celeste Lynch
Energetic and professional. Celeste has been working in the tanning industry for over 10 years. She owned a tanning salon but has decided to make her home at the Golden Orchid. She had brought her knowledge and talent of Airbrush/Spray Tanning to us and has begun the Golden Orchid Nail Technician program.

Tania Bowie
Confident and upbeat. In a former life, Tania went to school to be a Nail Technician but life took a turn. Years later, she went back to cosmetology school and expanded her interests to include nails, along with Esthetics and Hair. She will be slowly immersing herself into the Golden Orchid as she learns the Golden Orchid methods and services. She is professional and warm.

Management

Yvette Shirey - Owner
Former Vice President of Operations at Phillips International, Yvette applied her experience and knowledge to the salon & spa industry. Well received in Frederick, she has been named a Person to Watch in Frederick Magazine 2006 and in 2005 was honored with Entrepreneur of the Year – Small Emerging Business. She has represented small local business as a 3 year board member of the Downtown Frederick Partnership and as the former Chair of the Ambassadors Committee for the Chamber of Commerce.

Kelly Spore – Office Manager
As Office Manager, Kelly is responsible for the Front Desk Hostess staff as well as holds an HR function for the entire business. She works closely with clients to ensure they receive the Golden Orchid experience. Kelly is the over seer of the day-to-day functions at the Golden Orchid.
