New Menu Has Arrived!
In December we introduced our new menus with a bright cover, filled with new treats. We have added a Pumice Peel Facial Treatment that is a manual Microdermabrasion. Perfect for someone considering traditional machine Microdermabrasion but unsure because of the cost or intensity of the service. Another service we now offer is Alpha Blend Resurfacing. This is a less aggressive option to a traditional chemical peel service.

Another addition to our menu is eyebrow tinting and we have updated our Massage and Facial offerings. Because many people wanted a mixture of Deep Tissue and Swedish or did not know what they wanted but knew how they felt, we developed the Therapeutic Relaxation Massage. Each time you visit you will review your condition, expectations and needs with your massage therapist, Pat, Jocelyn, Debbie or Leesa. Based on this brief consultation, they will customize your treatment and utilize a variety of techniques to fit your need.

We have also created the Customized Relaxation Facial. Your time with the esthetician can be spent more on skin care and analysis or just pure relaxation … or somewhere in between. It's up to you every time.

For winter skin and stressed out lives we added a special body wrap. Purchase the Bed of Roses Wrap for $80.00 and get a free Aromatherapy Scalp Massage ($15.00 savings for this special menu item). Spend an hour with us and enjoy being pampered with the sweet scent of roses and get therapeutic relief for dry winter skin.

We Have Some New Faces
Many people have been on our waiting lists for nail services and we have found 2 great people to help. Shanda Lester joins us from Tennessee where she was certified for over 8 years and had her own business. We are glad she found her way to the GO SPA. V'Layne Johnson-Sewell's love of people brings her back to the spa industry and we are happy to have her on the team too.

In addition to our new nail technicians, Leesa Munger has joined us as a Massage Therapist and Kelly Spore is a new friendly face to greet you. Welcome to all!!

Tidbits From Yvette
A Prevention Magazine supplement noted that Folic Acid can reduce the risk of heart disease by over 30%. The article continues to tell us that Folic Acid decreases blood levels of homocysteine which is a risk factor for heart disease and stroke. Strive for 400 mcg per day which can be found in orange juice, kidney beans, broccoli, and spinach. The study also suggests B6, Vitamin E and Omega-3 Fatty Acids help in the risk reduction for Heart Disease. So eat plenty of salmon, swordfish, and haddock as well as bananas, brown rice and oats. Recent And Upcoming Events
February 2nd was the Chocolate Gala hosted by Sister Cities and held at the Delaplain Art Museum. Chocolate creations from big names around town were there competing for prizes and the guests got to sample and vote. There was more chocolate than Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory! GO SPA donated items to the Silent Auction in support of the Sister Cities charity.

March 13th is the "Chair"ity ball for Festival of the Arts. My husband, Brian, and I love a nice evening out and like supporting the arts in Frederick.

April 2nd marks the 6th annual Catoctin Affair. The Mental Health Association sponsored event includes comfort foods from fine chefs from around the local area, refreshments, dancing and the silent auction to raise money for the Mental Health Association. May 1st - Mayfest and Garden Tour 10am-5pm - Misty Mountain Orchid expert will be at the GO SPA from 10-2pm to answer questions and provide guidance on raising these unique flowers.

Saturday, May 1st, June 5th and July 3rd Golden Orchid and many other merchants in Shab Row and Everedy Square will be open from 6pm-9pm with open house activities and specials. Enjoy a summer evening strolling through our quaint shops.

Renewed Partnership
Creative Force Photography was my photographer for my wedding 12+ years ago and we have recently rediscovered each other. Shawn Campbell from CFP has chosen the GO SPA as his recommended location for brides to get their make up to ensure that their wedding photographs highlight the natural beauty of the bride on her special day. Shawn has also completed some pictures that will be posted on our website. We are excited about this new partnership.

Extending Our Hours Again!!
To help open the schedule and accommodate our busy clients, starting March 16th, we will be open for limited services on Tuesday evening until 7pm.
